Three types of authentication supported:
Type 0- Null - Disabled
ip ospf authentication null
Type 1 - Simple - Clear text
ip ospf authentication
ip ospf authentication-key [PASSWORD]
Type 2 - MD5 - A hash is transmitted with the key id
ip ospf authentication message-digest
ip ospf message-digest-key [KEY-ID] md5 [PASSWORD]
