Video Description

Backbone (Area 0)
The  backbone (Area 0) keeps all of the other areas together 
All of the announcements between areas must go through Area 0
If we have a "broken" backbone or areas that aren't directly connected to area 0, we can use Virtual Links but this is not a recommended design. 

Regular Areas
They don't filter any LSA
The optimization at implementing these areas is the reduction of the reach of type 1 and type 2 LSAs.
